COVID-19: Nassarawa state launches first Isolation Center
Nasarawa state government says two hundred bed Capacity out of the three hundred bed isolation Centre at Shabu is fully equipped and ready for isolation and treatment of Coronavirus patients In the state.
Governor Abdullahi Sule stated during an inspection visit to some health facilities in the state.
Inspecting the Shabu isolation Centre, governor Abdullahi Sule said aside the two hundred bed Capacity for isolation and treatment of Coronavirus patients at Shabu isolation Centre government is working round the clock to equip orther isolation Centre across the state taking into consideration that the state now has the Coronavirus case.
At the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital lafia, the state governor inspected the single rooms isolation Centre and one hundred bed Capacity isolation Centre both in the hospital fully equipped and ready for use.
Governor Abdullahi Sule also visited the quarantined center at the Isa Mustapha Agwai polytechnic Lafia where fifty intercepted persons who came from states that have recorded case of the virus were quarantined and test conducted on them out of which the result of twelve persons is expected to be out.
Governor Sule also explained that as part of additional measures to contain the Spread of COVID nineteen in the state additional sample collection centers have been established in Lafia,Akwanga, karu Nasarawa, keffi, and Doma local government areas of the state.
He however enjoined people of the state to always abide by the state government directives and the Nigeria centre for disease control NCDC to avoid being infected with the virus.
