Nasarawa State government has evacuated the first batch of eight hundred and seventy eight Al -majiris to thier state of origin.
During the commencement of the exercise in Lafia ,governor Abdullahi Sule said the move was meant to prevent them from danger of the dreaded Coronavirus.
Addressing the Almajiris in Lafia the state capital, governor Abdullahi Sule explained that the Almajiris are the most vonurable set of people expose to danger of COVID nineteen across the country thus form the idea of taking them back to thier state of origin to reunite them with their parents.
Governor Sule futher noted that those taking back to their home state are Almajiris bellow the age of ten and those from the states that have high cases of COVID nineteen will not be talking back to thier home state for now to avoid indangering thier lives.
The state governor said the move was the collective decision of the northern governors forum.
States that are expected to received their indigines Almajiris are Taraba Gombe Kaduna Jigawa and plateau states.
