Commendations flow as Gov. Bello relaxes Kabba lockdown

Following the relaxation of lockdown on Kabba town by governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, people of the community have continued to express gratitude to him for harkening to their plea. 

The Governor has earlier declared a stay-at-home over suspected case of COVID-19 involving the Chief imam of Kabba mosque.

The latest commendation came from a former National President, Kabba Student Union, Mr. Olorunmotito Kayode who eulogized Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State for lifting the lockdown.

Mr. Kayode also expressed appreciation for the intervention of Senator Smart Adeyemi (member representing Kogi West) and the OBARO of Kabba and Chairman Okun Traditional councils, HRM, Dele Owoniyi, saying their key role has yielded a positive result.

Kayode said the lifting of lockdown by the governor has further emboldened the governor’s compassionate nature to his people.

“On behalf of the Youths, and the good people of Owe Kingdom and Kabba/Bunu in General, I say thank you to the people’s Governor. You have demonstrated that you have a listening hear and remained compassionate about people of the state.

“We also appreciate the pragmatic Distinguished Senator representing the very good people of Kogi West, Sen. Smart Adeyemi for the love he shows to our people during this trying time and his intervention in the fake Covid19 index case.

“I humbly appreciates His Royal Majesty, Obaro of Kabba, Oba Dele Owoniyi (The Oweyomade 1) for his kind, genuine and absolute Love for his people which prompted him to call on the Governor at the appropriate time to ease the lockdown.

“I am proud to call you my Kabiesi come rain come sun. May your days be long Your Majesty. God bless the ever supportive people of Kabba/Bunu and her environ.”

“My governor, you have demonstrated that you are a man of compassion that feels what the people are going through. Little wonder you decided in line with the plead of His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, and Senator Smart Adeyemi to relax the lockdown.”

He urged the people of the community for the overall development of the community, charged other politicians in Okunland to engage in politics of development.

Kayode however urged the people of the state to still adhere strictly to the Covid19 protocol, “Please stay safe even as our LGA and Kogi State is covid-19 free because obedience is better than sacrifice.”

“On the bank robbery, will earnestly pray that God will expose those who potent threat to the peaceful wellbeing of Kogi people in General.”

The former students leader also commiserated with the people of Isanlu and Okun at large over the Thursday robbery that took the lives of over seven police Men and a Civilian, praying that God will put an end to it and give the family the fortitude to bare the loss.
