The daylight robbery and unprecedented waste of precious lives in Isanlu has been condemned by Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi. In a Press Statement he issued yesterday, the Senator condemned the heartlessness and brutality which characterized the Isanlu First bank robbery and attack on the Divisional Police Headquarters, he noted that such could only have been done by criminals who have sold out their hearts to the devil.
He registered his condolences to the traditional council and people of Isanlu, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police as well as the families of the slain victims. The Senator further prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the victims, and that God will grant all the families who had lost their loved ones in the ugly incident the strength and courage to bear the irreparable losses.
Further, the Senator identified with the government of Kogi State on this unfortunate incident, noting that Kogi State was adjudged to be one of the safest states in Nigeria by the reason of major proactive strategies and structures put in place by the Yahaya Bello administration, until the incidence of yesterday.
He also encouraged both the government and security agencies in KOGI state not to be demoralised by this ugly occurrence but to rise up to the challenge by apprehending the culprits and further fortifying Kogi State against all social vices, emphasizing that the death of this young officers must not be in vain.
Finally, Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi said his heart is with the immediate families of all the victims of the robbery, he prayed for the quick recovery of those injured from the incidence.
