A chieftain of the ruling APC in Kogi State, Omoluabi Olabode Adeyemi has expressed gratitude to the State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for appointing him as his Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, assuring that he will give his best in serving the state.
Omoluabi who is the chairman Stardom Global Television, SGTV pledged diligence in the discharge of his responsibility in uniting his people and bringing service close to them in Kogi State political equation.
In a statement issued on Friday, Omoluabi also extolled the Governor’s courage at confronting the status quo at a time in the country when youths were relegated to the background on the nation’s political environment.
“It is the holy Bible that says ‘A man can receive nothing except he be given from above’ I derive inspiration from the passage to give glory to him who truly deserves it. I heartily and enthusiastically thank my principal, boss, leader and Governor of Kogi state, Alh Yahaya Bello, for the rare privilege to be so considered for this appointment.
“Your Excellency I am aware you came to political limelight when the youth generation was facing unstoppable oblivion, unfortunate neglect and undeniable annihilation in the government parlance, it is on record that you confronted the seemingly impossible older generation of political and economic warlords, by political strategy, unprecedented tact and undeniable grace of God, you became the proverbial tree that have grown unprecedented branches.
“By your political benevolence and constitutional powers, you recognised me for this worthy cause with intention to bring service closer to the people, with agenda to unite our people on the political front and with general belief that I shall discharge duties for the development of Kogi State and prosperity of her people.
“I therefore wish to say without any iota of equivocation and ambiguities that I shall render my best to live up to expectations and be a positive impact to your leadership” he said.
Omoluabi further observed that his new assignment comes with enormous responsibilities, promising that he will not fall short of the governor’s expectations at fostering good governance.
“I am not unaware of the responsibilities that comes with public office and demands therein. I am relying on the unending grace of almighty God to discharge duties that engenders good governance, people oriented leadership, harmonious political relationship, results-oriented service and impactful administration which encapsulates the objectives of the Alh Yahaya Bello led government” he added.
While soliciting for their prayers for divine guidance, the former Kogi-West Senatorial candidate also thanked leaders of APC in the state for the solidarity he has enjoyed as well as friends and well wishers who have congratulated him on his new appointment, maintaining that he will not take their confidence for granted.
“I wish to use this opportunity to appreciate most profusely leaders of our great party, traditional institutions and the entire people for their unflinching support, rare solidarity and unforgettable impact on my political sojourn.
“I recognise the goodwill. Massages, cheering phone calls, flattering social media commendation and felicitation, these words that came from virtually all strata of our society are too weighty for me to take, they are too worded for me to deserve, they are too soothing to characterise my makeup, but I am aware that when grace of God resides in a man, people will call him what he is not ordinarily qualified for.
“I will not take this for granted, I am indeed grateful to you all.
“As I begin this tour of duty, I seek the prayers, support, encouragement and alignment of all for a successful stay in the office.
“God bless Kogi State” he concluded.
