The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi state chapter has expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the National Youth Investment Fund (NYIF).
The Speaker of the Nigeria Youth Parliament RT. Hon Mubarak Mijinyawa had on Thursday, 23rd July 2020 took to Twitter to announce the approval of the NYIF.
Speaking with correspondents on Friday, the Youth Chairman of NYCN Kogi chapter Comrade Israel Alonge also hailed the parliament, which he described as ‘an evolutionary working body’.
“The parliament has redefined leadership by identifying the needs of the youth and are doing every possible thing in working towards meeting this need, the good use of this fund will boost the productivity of the youth and add to the economic growth of our nation.
“Similar efforts have been made in the past and the struggle was left to wither. They keep forgetting A successful youth is the body of a successful economy. The parliament irrespective of the challenges they faced along the way followed the struggle to the end. It shows that they want the success of every youth” he said.
He further observed that the NYCN is encouraged by the hardworking members of the youth parliament.
He said the parliament has made history in the advocacy for the youth development in the nation.
