Student commends Sen. Adeyemi over motion for conversion DAC/ABU into University of Agric Kabba

A student of Prince Abubakar Audu University [PAUU] Mr. Olubiyo Taiye Feola Nelson has expressed gratitude to the senator representing Kogi-West Senatorial District Sen. Smart Adeyemi for moving motion for the conversion of Division of Agriculture College of Ahmadu Bello University (DAC/ABU) into a full-fledged Federal University to be known as Federal University of Agriculture Kabba (FUAK).

Mr. Nelson described the motion as welcomed development, adding that it will help in enhancing food security in Kogi and Nigeria at large.

While congratulating Sen. Adeyemi on his Appeal Court victory over the PDP’s Sen. Melaye, he note that if the motion is passed into law, it will enhance commercial and business activities in the Okun and Kogi state at large.

“I am writing to you the Distinguish Senator about the proposal of the upgrading of DAC/ABU Kabba into a full Federal University of Agriculture Kabba (FUAK). The proposal was indeed a very great one. The Distinguish Senator, the upgrading of DAC/ABU Kabba into a full Federal University of Agriculture Kabba will enabling the increase of food production level in Okun Land, Kogi State, Nigeria at large, it will create space for Agricultural Research Institute and as well several socioeconomic activities will be of a great merits.

“It is observed that lack of Higher Institutions threatened the smooth functioning of commerce and business in our region (Okun Land). As a son of this great Okun Land, I do implore you sir to stand firmly with your request from the government, to speak about this serious and indispensable request. I urge you sir to protect our region by taking a firm stand on this issue.

“Please do what you can, in your capacity, to make sure this essential request gets the attention it deserves. I really feel the request should be acted upon urgently now as the best opportunity era, and dealt with a firm hand” he added.
