NIS nabs Camerounian over possession of multiple passports

A 42-year-old Camerounian Kouaha Dieudonne, has been arrested by officers of Nigeria Immigration Service along Yala Border in Cross River State for allegedly being in possession of multiple passports. 

The Comptroller of Cross River Command Okey Ezugwu while briefing the Comptroller General of the Service, Muhammed Babandede stated that the accused was arrested with passports of different countries which are not his own.

In a statement on Monday signed by Public Relations Officer of the Service, Mr. James Sunday, two passports of a Camerounian, Guinea-Bissau passports and five Nigerian passports belonging to other persons were found in the custody of the accused bearing his name.

While commending the Officers at Yala Border Patrol, the Immigration boss ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.

Mr. Sunday added that in line with the Immigration law, the accused person will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
