Kogi at 29: Yahaya Bello’s administration living our founding fathers’ dream — Omoluabi

Senior Special Assistant to Kogi Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Political Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has congratulated the government and people of the state on the 29 anniversary of the state.

The governor’s aide further observed that the current administration under the leadership of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has exhibited commitment and willingness to abide by the will of founding fathers of the state which he says are hinged on transformation, inclusiveness and gender equity.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday, Omoluabi expressed gratitude to the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for making the security and welfare of the good people of Kogi and residents the pillar of his administration.

According to Omoluabi, the 29 years journey has been an admixture of variegated experiences, expressing gratitude to God for the life and health of the people.

“To say this journey of 29 years has been a smooth one will amount to being economical with the truth. It has been a mixture of fair and relatively difficult situations.

“One remarkable thing however is that the state is today in its full throttle on the lane the founding fathers had envisioned for it.

“Today, the song of unity and oneness resonates from every part of the culturally complex state. The people are proud of the direction the current administration heads. They are happy that their bond of unity, love and oneness has continued to get stronger by the day.

“The aggressive rural/urban transformation the state has witnessed in the near five years of the current administration is such that has not been seen in a long time in the annals of history of the state.

“Today, the economy of Kogi is on the lead in the comity of States making steady progress. This is irrespective of the challenges posed by the prolonged closure of business premises in the state as directed by the federal government following the outbreak of COVID-19.

“We have seen a governor who is deploying his professional dexterity as a financial expert to turnaround the seemingly difficult situation.

“With our collective support, Kogi will retain its lead as the envy of its equals across the country” he said.

Omoluabi while maintaining that 29 years is a long period of time in the life of a state observed that the cardinal focus of this administration is to renew the confidence of the people in government through openness, accountability and result.

He appealled to Kogite to continue to offer support to the administration for more harvest of gains.
