OKENE REFERENCE HOSPITAL WILL CREATE MEDICAL TOURISM IN KOGI STATE… Kogi Forum of Special Advisers

The Forum of Special Advisers to Governor of Kogi state have said the Okene Reference Hospital will create medical tourism in Kogi state when completed, the statement was made on behalf of the forum by Pharm Clement Hamidu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health Matters when the team visited the site on Tuesday. Pharm Clement Hamidu says Nigerians and indeed medical professionals will obviously be taken aback when they visit the Project site, he says the hospital will become the best in North Central Nigeria when completed, he commended the Governor for investing massively in the health sector by building six different hospitals across the state within such a short period of time namely Okene Reference, Isanlu Ultramodern General Hospital, Gegu general hospital, Ajaokuta hospital, Zonal Hospital Idah, Zonal Hospital Anyigba and Zonal Hospital, Ankpa, all ongoing and at almost completed stage.

While receiving the team, Project Contractor, Ziyad Raheem says the Project is unique in every sense of it and built to cater for multipurpose medical attention and development. Mr Ziyad says the Project will promote quality of health and improve the wellbeing of the people of not only Kogi state but North Central Nigeria, he commended the Governor for the vision of such magnitude and prompt release of funds for the project, he assured that the Project will be completed earlier than planned for the use of the people.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Alh Ahmed Onimisi says the people of Okene, Kogi Central and indeed Kogi state will forever remember Governor Yahaya Bello for his giant strides in providing lasting health infrastructure for the use of the people. He said the people of the area have never had it good in terms of infrastructure and good governance since the beginning of self government in Nigeria.
