Nigeria bags African Road Safety Award

The Federal Government of Nigeria has been awarded the African Road Safety Award, for it’s commendable service in ensuring the overall safety of lives and property on Nigerian roads.

This was made known in a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, ACM Bisi Kazeem, on Friday in Abuja.

Mr Kazeem had commended the Federal Government commitment to excellence in the implementation of the African Road Safety Action Plan.

The maiden edition of the award had been organized in recognition and honour of five African countries that have made an astounding contribution towards the effective implementation of the United Nations Decade African Road Safety Action Plan between 2011 and 2020.

The five African countries includes Nigeria, South Africa, Morocco, Nambia and Ghana.
