Kogi Assembly passed 2020 revised budget, MTEF, promises better days for Kogi People

In view of the economic reality of the nation as occasioned by the unprecedented drop in crude oil price at the international market, the Kogi State House of Assembly has passed the adjusted revised budget of over one hundred and two billion Naira into law.

The adjustment of the revised budget followed a letter from Governor Yahaya Bello to accommodate the projection from World Bank and Federal Government.

The approval also followed the clause by clause consideration of the budget by the Committee on Supply of the whole House.

The Economic sector has over eighty six billion Naira, Administrative Sector stands at about one billion Naira, Law and Justice gulped nineteen Million Naira while the Social Sector is more than fourteen billion Naira.

Meanwhile, the State House of Assembly has approved the twenty twenty to twenty twenty two Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF, Multi Year Budget Framework, MYBF, and Medium Term Sectors Strategies, MTSS for the state.

Similarly, the State House of Assembly has also passed a revised budget of thirty two billion Naira for the twenty one Local Government Areas of the State.

The House after considering the clause by clause of the budget by the Committee of supply gave an express approval.
