The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja, has joined expressed sadness over the death of the State Chief Judge, Justice Nasir Ajanah, who passed on on Sunday after a brief illness.
In a release signed his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor said he is acutely pained by the death of the late jurist.
He described the late Justice Ajanah as a ‘father-figure’ and a quintessential legal luminary who lit up the Judiciary with his erudition, fought doggedly for the rule of law and was passionate about navigating the relationship between the Executive and Legislative Arms of Government into calm waters.
Chief Onoja noted that the late Chief Judge’s death has robbed Kogi State, the Judiciary and indeed Nigeria of his wealth of experience.
He sent his deepest condolences as well as prayers for divine comfort to Hon. Kabir Ajana Mohammed both whom he described as a friend and brother to him.
He extended his condolences to the entire family of the deceased, the state and all those touched in any way by his loss, saying that he would be greatly missed.
He also expressed his condolences to the Ebira nation whom he said has lost an illustrious son along with the Kogi State Judiciary.
