Ooni donates 2 motorised fumigators to Kogi

The Kogi State government has received two trucks of motorized fumigators from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi as part of his contribution in tackling COVID-19. 

Taking delivery of the machines at the Government House, Lokoja, Governor Yahaya Bello said the gesture was a reflection of the love of the royal father has for the government and its people.

Represented by his deputy, Edward Onoja, the Governor appreciated the monarch for the support noting that the machines would add to the ongoing efforts by his administration to ensure the state remains Covid-19 free.

While promising to put the equipment into judicious use, the Governor acknowledged the contribution by the royal father to the cause of peace, unity and development of the country.

He pointed out that the gesture has portrayed him as a father whose thoughts were beyond the confines of his kingdom and touched on the lives of others positively.

Presenting the items on behalf of the monarch, leader of the delegation, Oba Muraina Adedini, disclosed that the measure was part of the royal father’s support to states in the fight against the pandemic.

Ooni of Ife had distributed two trucks of fumigating machines each to various states in the South.

The exercise which just shifted with the North had Kogi as the first beneficiary.
