A crowd gathered outside the Jos office of the Department of State Services while the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Obadiah Mailafia, was being grilled on Wednesday.
Mailafia was later released a few minutes past 6pm after he was grilled for six hours.
Mailafia was invited by operatives of the DSS to appear at its office in Jos on Wednesday following an interview he granted to a radio station in which he accused a northern governor of being a commander of Boko Haram.
Mailafia arrived at the DSS office located within West of Mines street around 12:30 pm in an ash-colored Range Rover vehicle marked Abuja 843 LX.
He was immediately ushered into one of the offices alongside his lawyer, Pius Akubo, SAN while many others who came with him in solidarity were barred from entering the premises by operatives stationed at the entrance leading to the compound.
Those who were denied entrance were later joined by many others who gathered outside the DSS compound with placards demanding the release of the former CBN Deputy Governor after being grilled for about six hours.
