Senior Special Assistant to Kogi Governor on Political Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has congratulated the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the provision of hundreds of tractors to Kogi farmers, saying he has reinvigorated ‘Operation Feed the People’ policy.
According to Omoluabi, the governor’s gesture is a demonstration of his commitment to ensure food security for the people of Kogi State and make the state the country’s food hub.
In a statement he personally issued on Wednesday, Omoluabi stated that the governor has never hidden his commitment to ensure the security and welfare of the people in line with his oath of office.
“The responsiveness of every government is measured by its ability to put at the forefront issues that border on the corporate welfare of the people. His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello has not only shown his ability to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people but has been a pace-setter and Ambassador of good governance.
“The role of food security in fostering security, peaceful co-existence and economic boom cannot be over-emphasised. It a win-win for our people. It is a bumper harvest of democratic dividends and for our people, the best is yet to come.
No part of our great state will be left behind in the aggressive developmental strides the Governor has in the past 4 years embarked upon. The tentacle of his good governance profile is touching and will continue to touch our people Irrespective of political alignment” Omoluabi said.
While also congratulating the beneficiaries, the governor’s aide called on them to make judicious use of the farming tools and help in driving the dream of the governor in making Kogi the food hub of the country.
