COVID-19: Nasarawa records index case of Coronavirus in the state.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State stated this while updating people of the state On the effort of the state government to contain the Spread of COVID nineteen in the

Governor Abdullahi Sule explained that the carrier of the disease was a female returnee from kano state and was among the four other returnees that were tested for COVID nineteen but only unnamed lady returning from kano tested positive of the disease.

The state governor further disclosed that already the immediate family members of index case have been quarantined while the index case has been transferred to an isolation Centre at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital lafia where she is currently Reciving treatment.

While calling on people of the state not to panic as COVID nineteen is not a dead warrant ,governor sule said government is tracing all that may have had contact with the index case to avoid the Spread of the disease in the state.

Speaking on measures taking by the state government to contain the Spread of disease in the state, governor Sule said single isolation rooms and one hundred bed Capacity isolation Centre in Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital are fully equipped and ready for use.
