KOGI POLITICS: Only a fool will think I will fight Governor Yahaya Bello… Sen Smart Adeyemi

– Senator Smart Adeyemi of Kogi West said he has no reason to quarrel with Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello because the governor had been fair and just in the manner by which he precides over the affairs of the state.

Adeyemi made this known at his country home of Iyara, headquarters of Ijumu LGA of the state while distributing palliatives to people of his constituency.
The senator equally said the governor has earned his supports and loyalty because of his believe in his (Adeyemi) person.
He said, “Let me equally tell you, only a foolish person will think I will one day have issue with Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello. My leader (Bello) is our leader, I will not have any issue with him, it will not happened.
“Because when people didn’t believe in me, he believed in me; so how do I fight him?!
“I can do anything, I can defend governor Bello to any level because, when people didn’t believe in me, Governor Yahaya Bello stood his ground and said ‘I believe in Smart’.
“I will not betray the governor. We will work together. Whatever is the vision of Yahaya Bello, I will stand by him weather good or bad; that is the level of my loyalty to him.
“I heard some people have been talking. Whenever the governor is leaving office, if he likes, let him bring my worst political enemies as successor, I will support him. I’m not in an hurry for any positions. Whomever Bello brings, we’ll support him.
“I am a progressive minded person, I’m a man of faith. I’m here by the grace of God using Yahaya Bello and you people.”
Adeyemi who promised to continue to do more for his constituency, also said he will stand in the gap to defend their interest at home and national level, “There is no interest to defend in Kogi because Governor Bello is a just and fair person. So there is nothing to fight with him. He’s our neighbor and In- law, and God mandates us to love our neighbors as ourself.”
The senator however urged his people to give their supports to governments of Kogi State as well as the Federal government.
