JUDICIARY: FCT Chief Judge tasks judges, lawyers on virtual proceedings
The Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Ishaq Bello says absence of proper investment is a challenge to an ICT-driven court proceedings,
Justice Ishaq Bello who monitored the first virtual proceeding himself challenged lawyers and judges to brace up for the obvious reality of the day in order for an unhindered justice delivery process.
He says although there is a sharp division among the legal minds on whether the courts should go that way or not but insists that the demand of the present time necessitates the need. Justice Bello says COVID-19 is real and advised users of courts to take note by advertising strictly to the relevant precautionary measures. He says the virus should not beter people seeking justice from getting same.
