Isaacs Kekemeke, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Ondo State, has been endorsed by student leaders, under the auspices of Ondo State Progressive Students Leaders, due to his plans for education.
The group, which is a consortium of intellectual and well-meaning student leaders across higher institutions in Ondo State, disclosed that the priority placed on students and education by Kekemeke in his manifesto informed its support for the aspirant.
Omojuwa Banjo, leader of the group, disclosed that they went through all the manifestos and agenda of all the aspirants and found Kekemeke’s as the one that took care of the yearnings of students in the state.
He said: “D.I. Kekemeke placed priority on students and education which include but not limited to access to basic education as a right of citizens from their government as it is also a key in insuring sustainable development; free and compulsory primary and secondary education; technical schools would be refocused and re-organised; introduction of subsidized tertiary education among others.
“We, hereby, throw our weight behind him in making sure the good plans he has for the state see the light of day by contributing our quota to making him emerge as the next governor of the Sunshine State.
