Saint Barnabas old students hold inaugural EXCO meeting with a resolution to visit alma mater

Members of St Barnabas Secondary School Old Students Association, SBSSOSA in Kabba, Kogi state on Sunday held its inaugural meeting where it resolved to visit the school on 24th of August, 2020 to ascertain its present state and draw up and intervention plan. 

This is contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Publicity Secretary of the association, Hon Durosinmi Meseko.

In the meeting held via Zoom Online Connect, SBSSOSA said aim of the visit is to have on-the-spot assessment of state of infrastructure in the school and make inputs to ease stress of students and staff as they carry out academic activities ahead of resumption.

It also resolved thus, “That in order to properly coordinate the membership of the SBSSOSA for effective participation in the Union’s activities, that all Sets apart from the following Sets that produced the current Exco- 1975, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1984- should as a matter of urgency forward to us through the General Platform the names of a Representative Each that would regularly liaise with the Exco on behalf of their set.

“That in order to foster unity and encourage participation in the Union’s activities, Exco resolved unanimously to nominate Mr Ola Christopher who earlier ran for the position of Publicity Secretary to occupy the vacant position of Welfare Officer of the association” it said.
